October 22, 2024:
The Parliamentary Secretary on Population, Mrs. Hadia Nawaz chaired meeting on the Population Program in Balochistan. The Secretary Population Abdullah Khan, the DG Population Azeem Kakar, Director Quette Abdul Sattar Shahwani, and Director Admn Quetta Jumma Khan Kakar attended. Mrs Hadia Nawaz said that maximum efforts may be made to create demand for family planning. Functional integration with health may be done, and social mobilizers may be engaged in promoting the population program.

November01, 2024: The Program Officer RMNCAH WHO Dr. Noor Bibi is presenting Family Planning Recording Tools to Secretary Population Abdullah Khan. The Divisional Director Quetta Abdul Sattar Shahwani and WHO Quality Care Officer Ms. Maryam Baloch were also present  .

At the 14th International Public Health Conference hosted by the Health Services Academy, Abdullah Khan, Secretary of the Population Welfare Department, presented a keynote address. His speech highlighted the crucial role of social behavior change in advancing Family Planning and Reproductive Health (FP/RH) through strategic resource mobilization, deployment of social mobilizers, community-based family planning workers, and engagement of ulamas as supportive stakeholders.

12th November,2024, the Secretary Population Welfare Department accompanied by district population welfare officer Kila Saifullah and Abdul Tahoor khan, section Off icer PWD, visited the MSU at THQ Khanozai . The Secretary appreciated the functional integration of family planning services with MCH, Nutrition and EPI. He said that in all the DHQs and THQs and where fasibilty the primary facilities in Balochistan functional integration of family planning, MCH and nutrition is being done. The health department has been coordinated and support is  being sought

November 14, 2024.

The Secretary Population, Mr. Abdullah Khan accompanied by Provincial Director Population Welfare Mr Juma khan, DHO Ziarat Dr. Yasir Baloch and Section officer PWD Mr Tahoor visited the RHS Centre Ziarat. The Incharge RHS Ziarat briefed the worthy Secretary Population regarding overall progress and issues of the RHS centre. The secretary PWD stressed that Family Planning Corner in Gynae ward at District Headquarter hospital Ziarat and FP Desk will be established for functional integration, Post Partam and Post Abortion Family Planning and Secretary PWD further said the Reproductive Health and Family planning in Ziarat is being strengthened in support of Health Department. The District Health Officer and MS DHQ Hospital Ziarat will provide space for establishment of FP disk /corner in DHQ hospital for creating awareness and information regarding Family Planning and reproductive health services

November 14, 2024.

The Secretary Population, Mr. Abdullah Khan accompanied by Provincial Director Population Welfare Mr Juma khan, DHO Ziarat and Section officer PWD Mr Tahoor visited various Family Welfare centres in district Ziarat. Including FWC Worchom, FWC Kawas(Gharbi) and FWC Kach Ziarat both FWCs (Kawas and Kach) were found locked and Incharge and other staff were found absent. the worthy secretary stressed that said centres must be functional, the DPWO Ziarat must ensure the presence of allied staff in all reproductive health facilities of the district and further stressed that DPWO Ziarat make sure the visit of all facilities once in a month and compliance report be submitted to competent authority. The worthy secretary further directed that the Directorate of population welfare make sure the deployment of staff and provision of commodities/ general medicines across the province and all the DPWOs in Balochistan must have review meeting with their respective staff once in week for make strong
